Exilis Ultra
Exilis Ultra combines RF with ultrasound for face and body; here is how sessions slot into trip planning.
How it works
Exilis Ultra, from BTL Aesthetics, combines monopolar radiofrequency with ultrasound energy. The two modalities are intended to heat tissue at the same time, supporting skin tightening and, on the body, the look of treated fat. Handpieces are matched to the face or body, with surface temperature monitored during treatment.
Good to know
- Sessions feel like deep warmth, and the practitioner tracks skin temperature.
- Light redness is common and generally short-lived.
- Plans often involve a series spaced a week or more apart.
- Anyone with implanted electronics or in pregnancy should avoid RF-based treatments.
What a Exilis Ultra session means for your travel days
The lack of recovery needs makes it easy to schedule, but the series nature of the plan is the real issue for visitors. Ask how many sessions are suggested before committing.
If only one or two visits fit your stay, discuss realistic expectations and whether the clinic offers a plan that works with a short itinerary.
Exilis Ultra: common questions
Is it for the face or body?
It can be used on either, with different handpieces. The doctor chooses based on your goal.
Does the warmth feel uncomfortable?
Most people tolerate it. Tell the practitioner if it becomes too intense.
Can I get it with another body treatment?
Sometimes. Ask for guidance on combining and spacing.
