Density

Density, from Jeisys Medical, combines monopolar and bipolar RF; here is the traveler's view of a session.

How it works

Density is a radiofrequency device from Jeisys Medical that can switch between monopolar and bipolar modes, working at 6.78 MHz. Monopolar energy travels deeper through tissue to a return path, while bipolar energy flows between two electrodes on the handpiece and stays shallower. Offering both lets a practitioner select a depth for the area being treated, such as the face or the neck.

Good to know

  • Combining modes allows choice between deeper and more superficial heating, depending on the plan.
  • Heat tolerance differs between people, and the practitioner adjusts settings in real time.
  • Redness and mild puffiness are possible and typically settle quickly.
  • Radiofrequency treatments may be unsuitable for people with certain implants or active skin conditions in the area.

What a Density session means for your travel days

You can usually go back out afterward, though a face that feels warm is not ideal in midday summer sun. Aim for shade and indoor stops later that day.

If a plan calls for more than one visit, ask whether it is realistic within your length of stay. Otherwise save the series for home or a future trip.

Density: common questions

Is bipolar gentler than monopolar?

They behave differently rather than one being gentler. Depth and comfort depend on the settings used.

Can I do it before a beach trip after Seoul?

Ask the doctor about sun exposure and timing, as heated skin can be more sensitive.

Will I see changes right away?

Some people notice a brief tight feeling, but real changes, if any, tend to be gradual.
